Have you ever wondered why the Quran contains so many magnificent and moving stories? The stories of the Prophets are a powerful mechanism for delivering lessons to elevate and transform, to warn and direct. By following the Prophets a path through trial and tribulation to ultimate triumph is revealed. They are our exemplars, and at each step, we will be inspired and sustained by their fine model. The Prophets of Bani Israel form about half of the Quranic Prophets, and as their grand stories unfold and their famed events unfurl, we will be humbled and awed by the rise and fall of nations, with a direct relevancy to our own age. They are our greatest teachers, imparting lessons that will linger long after the stories end.
