The course begins by defining what Jinn are and their place in Islamic theology. Students will learn about: 1. Jinn in the Quran: This section would explore the references to Jinn in the Quran, including their creation, nature, abilities, limitations, and relationship to humans. 2. Jinn in Hadith & Islamic Tradition: Stories related to Jinn in the Quran and Hadith including the story of King Solomon and the Jinn, and the concept of Sihr (magic) and its relation to Jinn. 3. Practical Applications: Explore the various ways that Jinn are believed to affect human lives, including possession, and healing practices, protection and how these beliefs manifest in different cultures and contexts. Overall, this course would provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the world of Jinn, including their historical, cultural, and religious significance, as well as their continued relevance in contemporary society.
